Traxen Strengthens Board of Directors with Appointment of Petrovich to Chairman, Gryzenia as Advisor

PLYMOUTH, Michigan, Sept. 17, 2020 – Seasoned automotive business leader Mary Petrovich has joined the Traxen Board of Directors as chairman to support the start-up company in its mission to lead the trucking technology market rapidly into the future. In addition to Petrovich’s appointment to the board, Bill Gryzenia, an accomplished automotive industry veteran, has been named an advisor to the board.

Petrovich is a senior executive at the Carlyle Group and chairman of DealerShopTM. Throughout her career, she has overseen the successful private equity exits of three companies in the on- and off-highway markets. Most recently, she served as executive chairman of AxleTech, where she helped shape the company’s electric vehicle strategy for the truck and bus markets and positioned it as a technology leader. She also previously held the position of president of Dura Automotive’s driver controls unit and served in various roles with increasing responsibility at AlliedSignal, Chrysler and General Motors.

In addition to her new position on the Traxen board, Petrovich currently serves on the boards of United Road, Woodward, Inc. and Xeeva Software. Throughout her career, Petrovich has received several awards including the University of Michigan Hermelin Award for fundraising leadership and Crain’s Detroit Business’ Most Influential Women in Business.

With extensive expertise in advanced driveline technologies, Gryzenia previously was CEO of AxleTech, a position he held for five years after serving as vice president and general manager of Dana Inc.’s global on-highway and off-highway aftermarket business. Over the course of his career, he has also been vice president of the aftermarket for AxleTech International; director of business development with Apexon, Inc., a supply-chain software company based in Silicon Valley; and a leader in a variety of business development and general management roles with the Harnischfeger Corporation.
